An enemy party reached our line north-east of Armen- ,->./., tieres, but was immediately driven out." vi~/v, A later report from Sir Douglas Haig states: " We made raids \' , south of Xeuve Chapelle and north-east of Ploegsteert. We reached ";--'.' the sec d lino at the latter point. A large number of the enemy ;;-.V', were killed, and many dugouts were destroyed. We repulsed hostile Wjk parties east of Givenchy." <%■ J A French communique states : "We conducted several successful i'■'•>' 'aids at Berry au Bac and in the Argonne.
