TOILET ACCESSORIES.
A toilet vinegar as a, substitute for sea salt may bo made after tho following formula. : Rose water,' one pint; simple tincture of benzoin, ioz; tincture of myrrh, 10 drops glycerine, 10 drops. One of the most efficacious baths for tired, nervous women is made after the following recipe: Rosemary tops, 1000 grams;* boiling water, 10 quarts; bicarbonate of soda, 250 grams. Make, an infusion of the leaves and boiling water; let it stand half an hour, strain, add the soda, , and pour all into the warm water prepared for the bath. This bath has a calming effect, and must, of course, always bo taken warm. Oatmeal bags dropped in the bath not only soften the water and impart to it a delicate fragrance, but they whiten and improve the texture of the . skin. Make bags of cheesecloth, about 4in square, and fill with tho following: Oatmeal, 51b; Florentine orris root' (powdered), lib; almond meal, lib; old Castile soap, scraped to a powder, Jib. -
