Mr. James Jamieson arrived from Christchurch yesterday. He hiia registered at the Grand Hotel Mr. R. Acton Adams, of Dunedin, arrived in Auckland yesterday, and is staying at the Grand Hotel. The Hon. Dr. Pomare, member of the' Executive Council representing tho native race, was to join yesterday's midday express at Frankton on his return to Wellington. Visitors from the South who arrived in Auckland yesterday and are staying at the Grand Hotel, include Mr. L. Manning, 06 Christchurch, and Messrs. J. Campbell and R. Robieson, of Wellington. The Hon. Dr. McNab, Minister for Marine, is making favourable progress towards recovery from the illness by which he was seized last week. He hopes to ba out of bed by Sunday.
