CONCLUSION OF THE TRIAL. SIX DEATH SENTENCES. . COMPLICITY OF GERMANS. ■ Australian and NZ. Cable Association. (Received 12.20 a.m.) CALCUTTA, Jan. 8. The trial has concluded of 17 persons charged in connection with the second Lahore conspiracy case. Six men wore sentenced to death, five to' imprisonment for life, one to two years' imprisonment, and five were discharged. The judgment stated that the evidence proved the complicity of German Consular agents in the United States. The Court was fully satisfied that the- United States was the thief centre of the movement for the overthrow of British rule in India. Plans were laid there for war, murder, and rapine.

In the first trial at Lahore 81 .persons wero charged with conspiracy against tho Government of India. The evidence bore out the statement of the prosecuting counsel that the revolutionary conspiracy was {or the overthrow of British rule by the .. following means:— ~. ...
