TENDERS FOR ROAD WORK. Trie Waitemata. County Council met yesterday. There i\ ere present : —Messrs. A. Lung (chairman). W. McCathie, W. H. Halt, H. Day, F. Dye, K. Taylor, J. McLeod, J. Bethell, A. Cochrane, and ]•". Poyriton. The following .tendors were accepted : ■48 chains formation. "Roberts Road, Waikumete, H. W. Rosier. £36; iOl (bains formation. Ratligar Road. Henderson, T. IT. O'Brien. £285 18s: formation. Parker Road, Waikumete, W. Rosier, £16 12s 6d : 150 yards formation. Lincoln Road, Henderson, W. R. Leighton, £329; scoria carting, Swansea-West Coast and Waitakerc Roads, W. 11. Leighton, 5s per yard. The council decided to add 10 per cent, to rates unpaid after Christinas, 1916. It was resolved that the name of Araohe Road, Now Lynn, should be changed to Coif Road. The county engineer. Mr. 0. A. Jacks'.)!", was instructed to survey and lay i.lit the work in connection with the Purenioremo Wharf Road. D was resolved to call tenders for metalling Rathsrar.
