You l.?.ve ;. valuable asset, a pleasant and therefore, ,1! •./ manner, (,'uli i, at - ; t —it grows i'it: l . 1 way. la-it — go up higher, helped by your manner. Now for the others. Overhaul yourselves. and have a good look at your "manner." Get to know what you present to the world. Ask a candid friend, and forgive him in advance if he hurts you. If your manner has been keeping you back, it's good for von to know it. To sample some, i v your manner "timid ?" Shed that. Nothing bi was ever given to the man with a timid manner. Change it ,or the "sure-of-myself"' manner, and justify it. Have you '.hat "disagreeable manner.'" a compound of sulks, sourness, and suspi. ion ? Off with it—it will take yon nowhere ! There's the "takinc" manner, the "pleasing" manner, the "frank" manner. and dozens more that will fit yon better. Tt's poor praise isn't it- for someone to say of you. " It's only his. manner, you know. I'm sure he means well." Manner is a factor in success: never doubt it. It has taken men up. and kent others down. Adverse luck, so called in fluence, or the lack of it. are as nothing compared with what "manner" will do for you. Put it right, if it's wrong, and get on, after the others.
