QUIET NIGHT ON THE BRITISH FRONT.
Renter. LONDON. Oct. 31. Sir Douglas Kaig reports: "There is nothing to report except intermittent shelling during the night by both sides." (Received 11 P.m.) LONDON, Nov. 1. A later report states : " We bombarded the enemy's lines in the neighbourhood of Hohenzollern Redoubt and La Bassee Canal. There has been considerable hostile shelling at Hebuterne, and also round the Stuff and Schwaben Redoubts and Regina Trench, near Thiepval."
