AWARD IX CANTERBURY.

CHRISTCHTRCB. Monday. The Arbitration Court has issued the Canterbury motor-car, horse drivers, and livery stable employees' award. Hours of work arc not to exceed 48 a week, exclusive of time attending horses, which must not exceed four hours for the driver of one-horse, or eight hours in all other cases, with overtime for any time in ex* cess of nine hours. Minimum wages ol drivers of one horse, £2 12s; two horsed or more, £2 16s; casual drivers, Is 3d an hour of one horse, Is 4sd an hour of two ;:. or more horses. Motor-drivers, '18 hours » week; drivers of vehicles five cwt to to«i .;; £2 15s a week up to a ton and a-half, ;• £2 17s 6d; casuals, Is 3d and Is 5d an. i hour.
