THE DOOR OF HOPE.

SUCCESSFUL GARDEN FETE.

Tnr. garden fete and salo of work held on Saturday afternoon at St. Leonard's, Takapuna, in aid of the funds of the Door of Hope, was socially and financially a very successful event. Many hundreds of people were present from the city, Devonport, and Takapuna, and well-laden stalls of fancy-work, flowers, and other classes of goods usually placed on offer at such gatherings were cleared of their contents. The total proceeds of the afternoon, including admission fees and sales of goods, amounted to £244.
