FRENCH CASUALTIES ON SOME REDUCED TO ONE-TENTH Australian and N.Z- Cable. (Received 5.5 p.ml * PARIS, Oct. 07. A French communique says: "Luxemburg messages state that 43 Red Cross trains full of wounded from Verdun passed for six hours in the direction of Treves. " French casualties during 115 days on the Somme were only half those suffered during 20 days of the autumn offensive in 1015."
