METHODIST MISSIONS.
APPEAL LIBERALLY MET. Recently advice was received in Auckland from the Rev. M. K. Gilmour, the chairman of the New Guinea Methodist Mission district, that the work was greatly hampered by the need of a suitable- boat. The boat suggested was an auxiliary ketch, to cost £750, and the Auckland Methodists were asked to provide £500. Mr. Gilmour's friends organised a private appeal, and within a few weeks more than the £500 has been subscribed.
