TE AWAMUTU. Saturday. At the Police Court on Friday, before Mr. E. Rawson, S.M., Henry H. Stehr, a picture, operator, who set up the defence, that the nature of his work rendered it impossible for him to attend parades, was fined £2 and casta 7a for failure to attend drill. A native named Nepe Tipa was fined £2, with 12s 6d costs for being in possession of liquor for consumption off licensed premises. Wm. Nash, a hardened criminal, with a long list of convictions against him, was fined £4, with costs 15s, for supplying a native with liquor.
