REFORMATIVE TREATMENT.
♦ OFFENCES AGAINST GIRLS. [BY telegraph-own CORRESPONDENT.] DDNEDIN. Friday. Two prisoners came up for sentence before Mr. Justice Sim to-day. James William John Thompson, aged 17, for attempted assault on a girl aged 11, was ordered to be detained for reformative treatment, for a period not exceeding five years. John Mathieson. aged 18,, for a serious assault on a girl of 13, was ordered to be detained for reformative treatment for a period not exceeding three years.
