A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
APPEAL FOR THE BELGIANS. The executive of the Auckland A. and P. Association met yesterday, Lie president, Mr. A. S. Thompson, in the chair. The tender of the Coast Defence Infancy Band, Onehunga, was accepted for music at tho forthcoming show, and that of Messrs. Robertson Bros, for the supply of straw. The matter of providing cash dotations, also gifts of stud stock, seeds, grain, etc, in order to help to restore the lands of Belgium to their original state as before" the war, was brought under notice by a letter from the Canterbury A. and P Association. The Royal' Agricultural Society of Great Britain has instituted » fund, entitled the Belgian Agricultural Restoration Fund, and has appealed to its kindred societies to help the agriculturists of Belgium when the time comes for them to renew peace-time activities. It was agreed to postpone consideration of the matter until after the show. Two new members were elected. The executive carried a vote of condolence with Mr. Hugh Gillies, whose son was recently killed in action in Franco.
