FIGHTING FAMILIES.
SOME FURTHER INSTANCES.
Font sons of Mrs. J. Forsyth, of Kensington, Whangarei, are _ serving the Empire, and a fifth is waiting to be called up. Recent casualty lists have shown that one of their number, Private Ivan Forsyth, has been missing since September 15, while another, Private Clarence V. Forsyth, was wounded on that day. Ivan Forsyth is 21 years of age, and Clarenco 19. A third son, Private Win. J. Forsyth, is at present in the trenches, and another, Albert Forsyth, is in camp with the twentieth reinforcements.
Another and similar case is that of the family cf Mr. Jas. S. Bond, of Hamilton. Alfred Bond is an ordnance officer at Sling Camp, England; Percy Bond was recently reported wounded ; and Frank Bond is at present fighting in France with the Australian forces. Another brother, Gus Bond, has long been given up as lost. He was with the New Zealand Anzacs at the famous landing at Gallipoli, when he was reported missing, and ho has never since been heard of.
