The discovery of a German-American version of "Tipperary," says the Daily Express, is greeted with great joy by the Rlieinisch-Westfalische Zeitung :— The English Tommies will learn with questionable gratification that their favourite "Tipperary" song has inspired German-Americans to composo an answering melody which is destined to become extremely popular in the United States. The tune is that of the original "Tipperary," and the words, as now daily howled in the New York streets by thousands of German-Americans, are "as follows :— "i'is a hard..hard thing to beat the Kaiser. An impossible thins to do; 'Tis a hard thins to smash the Germans, The allies know it, too.
