ST. HELENS HOMES.
PRINCIPLE TO BE EXTENDED.
[BY telegraph.—press association-.] WELLINGTON. Monday. Ix view of the high cost of living the Public Health Department has decided to extend the principle of St. Helens Homes for maternity cases. The advantages offered by these homes are to be brought under the notice of friendly societies, and hospital boards will be asked to consider tho advisableness of establishing maternity wards at all hospitals.
