BATTLESHIP ARIZONA.

READY FOR COMMISSION, TWELVE 14-INCH GUNS, A. and N.Z. Cable. NEW YOEK, Sept. 17. The United States has completed the Dreadnought Arizona, and she will be commissioned in October. The Atlantic fleet will then include six Dreadnoughts armed with 14in and five armed with 12in guns. The Arizona is ono of the California class of battleships, displacing 31,500 tons, and carrying 12 Win and 22 Sin guns. According to tho Naval Annual the clas3 comprises five ships—Arizona, California, Idaho, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania. Threo others of 35,000 tons—the Nevada, New York, and Oklahoma—which have been completed, and the Texas, of 28,100 tons, carry 10 Win guns. The Arizona was provided in the Navy Estimates of 1913, and was built at the New York Navy Yard. The cost of the battleship, inclusive of armour and armament, was estimated at £1,485,000.
