REBEL FORCE CRUSHED.

SHARP FIGHTING IN MEXICO. DEFEAT BY REPUBLICAN ARMY, A.andN.Z. Cable. MEXICO CITY. Sept. 17, General Jacinto Trcvino, who is in command of the Mexican Army, reported to-day that 1000 followers of the rebel Villi! attacked Chihuahua, in Northern Mexico, at two o'clock this morning, entering the city. Two hours later General Trevino's troops defeated the Villa force, killing 650. General Trevino was wounded in the shoulder, but nevertheless he reviewed the troops on parado to-day. All the captured rebels were executed.
