STRIKERS RESUME WORK. COMPULSORY CONFERENCE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received 11.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 17, The wireless operators on merchantmen registered in Australia, who struck owing to the refusal of the inter-State shipowners to recognise their claims for higher pay, have resumed work, pending the holding of a compulsory conference.
