HALF-A-MILLION VISITORS VIEW ZEPPELIN WRECK.
SIXTEEN BODIES RECOVERED FROM THE DEBRIS. DILATORY ADMISSION OF THE LOSS BY GERMANS. FANTASTIC NARRATIVE OF RAID ISSUED IN BERLIN. Australian and N.Z. Cablo. (B«cftiTed 6.10 p.m.) LONDON, September 4. Though half-a-million people viewed the destroyed Zeppelin on Sunday, the pilgrimago to Enfield continues. The number of visitors to the scene is increasing, and includes many overseas troops. The bodies of 16 members of the craw, which were roasted beyond recognition, were found in fantastic attitudes. The bodies were covered with a tarpaulin, and later were reverently removed to the local church. Two machine-guns, which were salved by the flying corps, have been packed with the wreckage for removal to London, LONDON, September 4. A Berlin message says: "Several airship detachments bombarded the 'fortress' of London, fortified places at Yarmouth and Harwich, factories and places of strategic importance in the south-eastern counties. Everywhere good effects wore noted. Violent fires and explosions were observed. Notwithstanding strong bombardment all the machines returned undamaged. A number el army airships simultaneously attacked southern England " The Press Bureau comments that the damage was practically nil. There were no conflagrations of any importance and no explosions in the munition factories. A later German communique admits that one of the airships was brought to the ground by the British fire.
