ISSUE OF CERTIFICATES.

AUCKLAND'S CONTRIBUTION.
The returns of the proceeds of the sale of war certificates in the Dominion to August 31 are now available, and show that op to that date the sum of £661,688 had been received. This is indicated by the fact that of Auckland's contributions to the loan of £477,910 received through the post office a sum of no less than £394,475 is represented by applications for war bonds, as compared ■with £83,435 inj, vested in war certificates.
