AKARANA CLUB.
The Akarana Defenco Rifle Club opened its 1916-17 season at Penrose on Saturday afternoon, Tfcero was a.good attendance of riflemen and the, 1 ,, friends. Afternoon tea was dispensed at the ground. A contest between teams selected by the- president resulted in a wi for the team headed by the veteran, J. it. Farslow .Eifleman Parslow was the ton scorer of the day. The details are:total 93- R. H.
