WELLINGTON NAVY LEAGUE.

In a record of the work done by the Wellington branch of the Navy League, it is mentioned that during the past 10 years over 12,000 copies of books, such as " The British Navy, Past and Present," " Britain On and Beyond the Sea-," " Life of Nelson," etc., have been distributed in the Wellington district. Nearly 5000 essays on naval history subjects have been written, and many hundreds of prizes allotted the schools. Some 13,000 juvenile members of the league have in the aggregate been enabled to visit warships at Wellington-, Gisborne, and New Plymouth.
