Speaking in regard to an appeal for support for the Repatriation Fund, intended for placing returned soldiers on the land and providing for them in other ways, Mr. Hughes, Federal Prime Minister, said that if after an appeal -was made the fund were still- short the Government would not make any further appeal, but would act in the matter..
