For the period ended August 5, th< Waihi Grand Junction Gold Company crushed and treated 10,080 tons of ore foi a return of bullion valued at £16,50! 4s lOd. The manager of the Rising Sun mine, Uwharoa reports that stopin? has been continued in No. 2 olock, on No. 1 reef 1110 reef is maintaining its size, is about i w , lde ;, and continues to produce on of a highly payable value. The leadinstope north of the rise lias been beater along to a distance of 50ft. The dirt broken from this *t 0 has been of good value, the width of the reef being about lilt, it is proposed to continue this stop* to a distance of 100 ft, and to have the necessary timbers and passes placed in position by the time this work is carried out, The drive north on No. 2 reef wa= advanced from 32ft to 28ft.
