RECRUITING CAMPAIGN.
ENROLMENTS ON SATURDAY.
TWELVE MEN EXAMINED.
SIX PASS THE DOCTOR.
The continuous wet weather on Saturday did not help to swell the recruiting figures. Twelve men presented themselves at the city recruiting station for examination. Six were accepted, two deferred, and four were declared unfit for active service. One of th e men accepted was a returned soldier, named Te Paa Neri, who is again fit for the front.
The names and occupations of those accepted are as follows :—
A. Clark, storeraan, St. George's Bav Rd. A. Hunt, carpenter. City. 0. M. Hawson. accountant, Shortland St. A. 0. Jasper, photographer, Birkenhead. R- A. Jeffrey, labourer, Onehunja. Te Paa Neri, bushman, City. ENROLMENTS AT HAMILTON. SEVENTEEN- PASSED LAST WEEK. [BY TEI.ROR.VPH-— OWN" COIIB.KSPOKDF.NT.] HAMILTON. Sunday. Only 27 men offered themselves for service in the No. 4 group during the- oast week. Of these five were permanently rejected and two were deferred, while three have not returned their papers.
