REPULSE OF THE ENEMY.
SEVERAL ATTACKS FAIL.

A communique says:— "Obstinate fighting took place on the River Sereth, south of Brody. The enemy made several counter-attacks on our detachments on the right bank of the river, but all failed. Austrians and Germans, numbering a division, south-west of Kutty, attacked our small detachments, occupying mountain passes, and forced them back a short distance."
