COOK ISLAND RECRUITS.
ANOTHER DRAFT FOR TRAINING. [BY TELEGRAPH. SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Another draft of 124 Cook Island recruits, nearly all of whom are from Rarotonga. arrived here by the Maitai this morning. They left by to-night's express for Auckland in order to go into camp with the Maori reinforcements at Narrow Neck. They attended the welcome home to returned soldiers this morning. During the day they were taken to various points of interest in the city. This afternoon they visited Parliament House, and bv permission of Mr. Speaker assembled in the Chamber, where, under the presidency of Mr. A. E. Glover, M.P., who acted as interpreter, a number of native songs were sung. The islanders also sang in good English " Here Wo Are Again."'
