Communiques show that the Grand Duke Nicholas organised a vigorous thrust in Armenia along the valley of the Euphrates, where the Russians in a few days advanced 25 miles in the direction of the military depot at Ezingan, which is 45 miles distant. The Turks already have lost practically all they gained in their recent offensive.
A communique says: "West of Erzeroum we" have captured a series of new Turkish positions. We are now ten miles from Raibur. The battle south-west of Mush, 80 miles south of Erzeroum, is developing successfully.
