The Auckland Brickmakers' Association have advanced the price of bricks 5s per 1000 from this date. This has been found imperative, owing to the increased cost of freights and/ coal, and the advance lately granted to the Brickmakers' Union. This will represent an increase of 18s per rod, or on a building worth £5000 of about £50.
