Mr. Stone, president of the Foreign Relations Committee, pave a significant indication of America's after-war attitude. Referring to the allies' Economic Conference at, Paris, he said that unless America was considered by the European Powers in any industrial alliance, it would be necessary to adopt a definite defensive policy.
