STATE AID SUGGESTED. Whether, in view of the alleged shortage of iron, the Government will extend practical assistance in the development of the lronsand deposits of Taranaki, was a question asked recently in the House of Represeutetives by Mr H. G. Ell. The Son. W. D. S Mac Donald, in reply, stated that this question had been prominent fjr many years, and latterly several special reports had been presented to : m.
