The Taxawera arrived from Sontnern ports last evening, and berthed at the Queen's Wharf. She sails on the return voyage at 2 p.m. to-morrow. . The Kaituna. which arrived from Westport late on Saturday night, berthed at the Queen's Wharf, and this morning she will vacate her berth for the Makura, and then prooecd to coal the mail boat. THE LOUISA CRAIG. .Mr. G. W. Bews, local agent for the Scales Line, advises that the barque Louisa Craig, now discharging salt, etc., at the King Wharf, is to sail for San Francisco. From the American port she will bring down a full cargo to New Zealand. RONA FOR AUCKLAND. Southern advices to the effect that the barque Rona had been .fixed to load guano at Surprise Island are incorrect, as Mr. G. W. Bews advises that the sailer was expected to leave Melbourne for Auckland last Saturday..

MURITAI DUE TQ.-DAY. 1 Wireless advice was received by Messrs. f Heather. Roberton. Ltd. yesterday to the f effect that the steamer Muritai is expected to arrive from Sydney at 9 a.m. to-day. The 1 steamer left Sydney at 7 a.m., on Thursday, s and should she arrive at the time stated she will have accomplished . the passage in just 1 over four days. On discharge of 1000 tons , of New York caTgo here the Muritai sails 1 for Southern ports. a R.M.S. MAKURA. The R.M.S. Makura is expected to arrive 1 from Vancouver, via way ports, at 7 o'clock 1 this morning, when she will berth at the Queen's Wharf. The liner is carrying 103 *• passengers and a large amount of cargo, t The Makura continues her voyage to Sydney , at 7 p.m. to-day. 1 RUAHINE IN PORT. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Ruahine arrived from London, via way ports, yesterday afternoon, and berthed at tho Queen's Wharf. The earlier portion of the voyage was made in fine weather, but .the latter stages were characterised by 'strong winds and high seas. Forty-two passengers travelled by the steamer. Captain , E. T. The C. and D. liner Star of Australia, which left Sydney at 2 p.m. last Wednesday, is expected to arrive at 10 a.m. to-day.
