RUSSIANS CAUSE LENGTHENING OF GERMAN LINE.
ENEMY HOLDING OUT WITH MINIMUM OF FORCES. ONE HUNDRED TROOP TRAINS FROM THE WEST. PETROGRAD, JUNE 23. The, Russian thrust towards Kovel, in Volhynia, 117 miles southcast of Brest Litovsk, has lengthened the German line by 50 miles. The Germans are trying to hold the line with a minimum 0 £ forces. A message from The Hague states that 100 troop trains passed Aix-]a-Chapelle bound eastwards. The German garrison at Liege has been ordered to follow.
