The Kokiri was to leave Westport last night, with coal, for Auckland. She should arrive hero on Monday. The Westralia is duo to-morrow from Dunedin. via East Coast ports. She will berth at the Queen's Wharf. ' The Westralia sails for Sydney on Monday afternoon.

The Kinross, with case oil from New York for the Vacuum Oil Company, should put in an appearance here at any time now. The Te Anau. with a full cargo from Timaru, is expected to arrive to-day. On discharge she will leave on Tuesday for Duncdin direct. The Ngahere arrived from Greymouth yesterday morning;, and went to Chelsea to unload her cargo of coal. She loads on Monday for Now Plymouth, Wanganui. and Greymouth. The Kaiapoi arrived last night with a cargo of coal from Newcastle, and anchored in the stream. She will berth at the King's Wharf this morning. The Elsie Mary, from Wellington, was signalled from Tintiri at 630 p.m. yesterday. She had not reached ' port up to a late hour last . night, and probably anchored in the channel until this morning.

ESSEX ARRIVES HOME. The, steamer Essex, which Bailed from Wely lington on February 11, arrived /aX AvonBiouth on May 11. THE SYDNEY STEAMER. The Victoria left Sydney for Auckland direct at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, with 42 passengers, 1600 tons of -cargo, and six horses, She is due here early on Monday morning, I ana will berth at the Queen's Wharf. AN UNEXPECTED VISITOR. .An arrival yesterday which was not anticipated was the American four-masted schooner Kona, bound from Newcastle to S''r. Allan, Hawaiian Islands, with coal, which put into port in distress, The vessel Jeft Newcastle on April 29, and experienced weather until May 9, when she ran into a violent south-easterly gale. The weather caused her teams to open, and to take in. water, and as a result it was decided to run tor Auckland The vessel was signalled from .untiri on Thursday, and yesterday, in re*ponro to signals, the tug Young Bungaree w«nt out and brought her into port. , The ■"*'"!* was here about three years ago. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Renruera arrived from London, via Ports, yesterday morning, and berthed at tile Mueen's Wharf. Just after leaving London the vessel ran into stormy weather, with heavy snow. Bad weather was also met with in tho Southern Ocean, but the remainder of the voyage was uneventful.
