BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY Prices of standard stocks quoted yes-! terday were well maintained. Bank of New Zealands had buyers at £11 3s 6d (old issue) and £17 4s (new issue), with sellers at £11 7s 6d and £17 8s respectively. Firm inquiry was made for National Banks at £5 7s 6d, with no sellers under £5 10s. Insurance shares were quoted at recent rates. A sale of the ordinary issue of Union Steams was effected at 33s 3d, with sellers at the last call at 33s fid. A parcel of Waihis changed hands at 36s 9d.
