PREJUDICING RECRUITING.

PROSCRIBED PAMPHLET. (Received May 19. 1 a.m.) London, May 18. Edward Grubb, A. Brockway, W. Chamberlain, hon. treasurer, secretary, and organiser respectively, of the No-Conscription Fellowship, the Rev. Leyton Richards, and John P. Fletcher, three other members of the committee, were summoned at the Mansion House for publishing a pamphlet containing statements prejudicial to recruiting and discipline of the forces. It was stated that 750,000 copies had been printed. Fletcher and Richards were formerly secretaries of the Australian Freedom League, opposing compulsory training. The defendants were each fined £100, with £10 costs.
