Duxedin. Monday. Another case of smallpox developed today on the transport that arrived on Saturday with a suspected case of smallpox on' board. It has been decided to place the 233 invalided soldiers on the quarantine island to-morrow. The sick men on the island were removed to other quarters to-flay. . The two smallpox patients will be isolated in a small building, and the rest of the men in the quarantine buildings. One of the medical officers on the ship and five nurses will also be placed on the island. The crew will be quarantined on the vessel. l The other medical officers will stay on board. As it is imperative that the ship be put into, commission as soon as possible, the crew will be employed in getting her ready for sea. A number of carpenters will be engaged to assist the crew.* They will bo vaccinated, and will have to remain on board for the period of quarantine, at least fourteen days. A soldier who is seriously ill was brought to Dunedin- Hospital to-day, but all precautions have been taken to prevent any chance of contagion.
ALL THE MEN REVACGINATED;
GENERAL HEALTH GOOD. IBT TELECRATH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.} Wellington, Monday. The Minister for Public Health, the Hon. G. W. Russell, states that, he understands all the men on the transport have been revaccinated.- The general health of the troops is good. The relatives are being advised in all cases ,of the men's condition.
