[by telegram.— press association.] ' Hokitika, Friday. The Children's May Queen Carnival, 15 aid of the Sick and Wounded Soldier*' Fund, which was brought to a close to. night, realised £1054. Maisie Meln .so, ■ who secured 51,075 votes, is the qt*a. . elect, and will be crowned tomorrow, afternoon, when it is expected the fund will be further augmented.
