YESTERDAY'S QUOTATIONS. The local sharemarket opened quietly yesterday after the Easter vacation, and no sales of standard stocks were effected.Bank shares caino in for firm inquiry, New Zealands having buyers at £10 lis old issue, and £16 15s now issue, with sellers at £10 19s and £17 respectively. Offers for National Banks and Unions at £5 2s and £51155, drew no response from sellers. Now Zealandjnsuranees were in firm demand at £6 4s*6d, with no sellers under £6 7s.
Waihis showed little movement. Buying offers were made at 35s 3d, with sellers) at 36s 6d. Ttlisman Consolidateds, placed on the markov. at 12s, had buyers up to 10s.
