In commemoration of Anzac Day several historic photographs' dealing with the part New Zealanders played on Gallipoli are published. These include a striking picture of the first landing, under fire, of our troops at Anzac on April 25 last year; a view of Wellington! Terrace at Anzac,;,, Courteney's -Pest; the .pier at Anzac; and other fine Anzac photographs. Anzac Day was celebrated by the city and suburban public schools of Auckland last Thursday, and a photograph of a portion of 2000 : Ponsonby children assembled fa the' Church Street school is published, together with a picture of the great gathering in the Town Hall of pupils from the city schools. An excellent series of photographs deals with the part New Zealanders played in the fight against the Senussi last January. The sunny island of Motuihi is now used as an internment camp for Germans, and a fine panoramic view of a part of the well-known Hauraki Gulf island appears in the issue. The successful campaign of Russia against the Turks is fully dealt with. A splendid view of Trebizond, which has been lately captured by the soldiers of the Tsar, aided by the Russian fleet, forms a feature of the publication, an 1 there is also a striking panoramic picture of Erzeroum, the ancient Armenian capital, which has also been captured through the valour of the Russians. A comprehensive picture of 'the Hornchurch camp, England, where many New Zealanders are quartered, is •given. War topics and fine local subjects complete a particularly interesting publication. ' .
