GOOD RESPONSE YESTERDAY.

SIXTY MEN REGISTER.

TWENTY-FIVE ACCEPTED.

TnE parade of the Anzac heroes evidently stirred a number of eligible men, and there was a mild recruiting boom in the city yesterday. A total of 60 enlisted at the central station, and of that number 25 were accepted, 18 were deferred, and 17 were rejected as unfit for active service. During the day five school teachers from various parts of the province enlisted; two wero accepted, one was deferred, and two were rejected. The following table shows the number of men who have enlisted at the central station since tho commencement of the new recruiting campaign in Auckland:—
