MOTOR FALLS OVER JBANK.
ONE MAN BADLY BRUISED.
TWO OTHERS SLIGHTLY HURT. [by telegraph—own correspondent.] Rotorua, Tuesday. A bad motor accident occurred near Tauranga yesterday morning. A car containing Messrs. W. Steele and VV. Wallace, of Rotorua, and Mr. J. Turner, of To Pu, when descending Hairini Hill, skidded and rolled 20ft down a bank. Messrs. Steele and Turner were slightly bruised and shaken. Mr. Wallace was badly bruised about the body, and was taken to Tauranga hospital, where, it is reI ported, he is progressing favourably.
SELF-ADMINISTERED -POISON. VICTIM IN BAD HEALTH. [by telegraph.— correspondent.3 Waihi, Tuesday. An inquest touching the death of Mrs. W. Hicks, viio was found dead in her home yestcday afternoon, was held last evening, before the district coroner, Mr. W. M. Wallnutt. Tho medical evidence went to shew that death was due to gas poisoning, .self-administered, while in a mentally and physically weak condition. A verdict in accordance with the evidence was returned. MAN'S BODY FOUND IN HARBOUR. INMATE OF HOSPITAL WANDERS. [BY TELEGRAPH.— assoclatiom.] Duxedin, Tuesday. The body of a man, supposed to be Robert Jackson, of Owaka, about 65 years, was found floating in the harbour this morning. Jackson, who was an inmate of the hospital, loft there last night by some unknown means.
