CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL.
BENEFIT MATINEE.
The proposal to erect a children's hospital as a memorial to New Zealand soldiers who have given their lives in tho war is enlisting tho sympathies of many influential people. The scheme, which was formuhted by the Auckland Dramatic and Vaudeville Employer;,' Association, is being rapidly pushed ahead. A strong committee has been lormed which meets frequently, and already a large amount of work has been done. On Saturday ' afternoon a matinee will he given, in which the "iloyal Strollers" will take part. Thev will be supported by artists from the duller vaudeville circuit, thus presenting a pleasing variety of subjects' In addition, Miss Daphne Knights pupil* and Miss L. McKeniio and Miss JSileert ,o Dalgleish will contribute items. Arrangemerits ore also being made for' the holding m of a Saturday night carnival. '.? i% \ M ■..
