MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
A BUILDER'S CLAIM.
QUESTION OF LIABILITY. TrtE adjourned hearing of the claim for £75 4s, balance of account alleged to be due, made on March 29, before Mr. E. Page, 8.M., by Norman Clyde Blomfield, against Harry Collcdge and George Wright, was continued at the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Mr. Gould appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. McVeagh and Mr. Mowlem for tho defendants.
The action was brought in connection with certain alterations effected by the plaintiff to a shop in Queen Street. The points on which a decision is required are whether both defendants are jointly and severally liable, and if not, which of the two is responsible for the payment of the claim.
The whole of the day was taken up with hearing the evidence of the first witness for tho defence, F. H. Levien, which was not completed when the further hearing of the case was adjourned until Friday.
