STOCKS AND SHARES.
BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY. The sharemarket was ' quiet yesterday. In standard stocks Bank of Now Zealands were looked for at £10 10s, sellers £10 14s. Fully paid issue were quoted at £16 15s without buyers. National Banks sold at £5 Is 6d, sellers closing at £5 2s, buyers at £5 Is. Now Zealand Insurances had sellers at £6 3s 6d and South British were offered at £5 2s,iio buyers of either quoting. A sale was reported in Auckland Gas at (28s 9d). In mining lines Waihis changed hands at 35a. more being wanted at 34s 9d, seller's asking 35s 3d. Talismans sold at 12s, with late sellers at 12s 6d, and no further declared buyers.
