ANTI-SHOUTING.

Sir,—ln justice to my comrades, I call attention to a series of interviews in tho Herald regarding treating soldiers. I am a total abstainer, but a broad-minded man. Speaking from personal observation of we situation, I see very scanty, cause for such an outcry. The statements published dealing with behaviour at the Soldiers' Club are both distressingly erroneous and meaningless, for I am prepared to say that never once have I seen one of our returned bovs anything liko the worse for liquor. I have been forced to take up this attitude in fairness to those who have played the, game and would , unflinchingly talce a second chance were we physically, fit. I think it is just about time we returned boys were given a rest from false public comment, and a little more attention and time devoted to bringing the shirker into the limelight • , ~ Fair Put.
