ROYAL FLYING CORPS.
HOW MEN MAY QUALIFY.
MUST TRAIN AT AUCKLAND. [DT TELEGRAPH. —OW!f CORRESPONDENT.] Qeristchtjrch, Friday. 'A letter has been received by the Oitizens' Defence Corps from the Hon. Jas. Allen, Minister for Defence, in reply to its letter asking how officers from New Zealand may join the Royal Flying Corps. The Minister states that only men who have gained their pilots' certificates at Messrs. Walsh Bros.' school of flying, Auckland, can be considered when recommendations are- being made by the Defence Department for commissions in the Royal Flying Corps. No assistance can be "granted by the New Zealand or Imperial Governments until such time as a person has secured his pilot's certificate.
