YESTERDAY'S QUOTATIONS.
The sharemarket continued quiet yesterday, and very little business was transacted. Bank of New Zealands came in for inquiry at £10 10s, old issue, and £16 7s, new issue, with sellers at £10 15s and £16 13s respectively. Buying offers for National Banks were a shade easier at £4 19s, with sellers at £5 Is. Insurance lines were' quoted at recent rates.
Waihis were placed on the market at the last call at 375, with steady sellers at 365. Buyers and sellers of .Waihi Grand Junctions were close at 19s 6d and 19s 9d, but no business resulted. A sale of Talisman Consolidateds was reported at 15s, the market closing with buyers at 14s 6d.
